Biography

Larry W. Myers most recently served as President and CEO of First Savings Bank, headquartered in Jeffersonville, Indiana. He joined the organization in 2005 as Chief Operating Officer and was promoted to President and CEO in 2006. Prior to First Savings, Mr. Myers held several leadership roles at National City Bank, including serving as Area President for Southern Indiana.

Mr. Myers was elected to the Board of Directors of the Federal Home Loan Bank of Indianapolis in 2017. During his tenure, he chaired both the Risk Oversight and Audit Committees and currently serves as vice chair of the Board.

A committed community leader, Mr. Myers has been actively involved with the Boy Scouts of America for more than 25 years, including service as chairman of the Lincoln Heritage Council in Louisville. He also serves on the Board of Directors for Junior Achievement and is a member of the Finance Committee for One Southern Indiana, where he previously served as treasurer.

Mr. Myers is actively engaged with several banking trade associations. With the Indiana Bankers Association, he served as chairman of the Board of Directors in 2015 and currently serves on the Government Relations Committee. Within the American Bankers Association, he sits on the Board of Directors and participates in both the Government Relations and Federal Home Loan Bank Committees. His previous leadership roles include service on the ABA Community Bank Council and the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis Community Depository Institutions Advisory Council.

Mr. Myers earned his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in business from the University of Kentucky. He is a graduate of the Graduate School of Banking of the South and the Cannon Trust School. His contributions have been widely recognized: he is a laureate of the Junior Achievement Business Hall of Fame, a 2020 inductee into the Indiana Bankers Association Leaders in Banking Excellence and was named One Southern Indiana’s Professional of the Year in 2016.
